Consultation Services
EPCO Australia offers a range of consultation services to assist you in the ongoing operation and maintenance of your equipment. As with refurbishment, this service is not specific to the EPCO Australia range of products. If you have equipment from other suppliers or manufacturers we may still be able to assist you.
We offer services in the following areas:
- Needs Analysis
- Plant sizing
- Operation and Maintenance Analysis
- Equipment Assessment and advice
- Process Design Criteria
- Cost of Services
Needs Analysis
Typically prospective clients will contact us because they have become aware that either wastewater treatment equipment is needed or perhaps existing equipment requires enlarging or refurbishing.
Our subsequent discussions with the client will establish the matters that are pertinent to the installation such as:
- Type of wastewater to be treated.
- Number of people or daily flow rate.
- Location and type of facility.
- Environmental issues relative to the site.
- Available operator expertise.
- Available technical assistance.
- Scope of work we recommend.
- Financial budget.
This service usually involving phone discussion only, can establish the client's equipment needs and provide us with the necessary information to provide to the client a quoted recommendation.
Should a comprehensive facility/equipment analysis be required, a site visit may be necessary.
Plant Sizing
Plant sizing is a core issue when considering a new wastewater treatment plant or the upgrading of existing equipment.
Plant sizing is becoming increasingly critical as effluent quality demands become higher. An undersized plant is useless to a varying degree, whilst an oversized plant will also have operational shortcomings which will make consistent quality output difficult to achieve.
Frequently what appears to be an insurmountable sizing shortcoming can often be overcome by the addition of simple auxiliary equipment or modification to the plant process method.
Oversizing to accommodate future growth is a matter which also needs to be handled with care.
EPCO Australia can offer many suggestions as to how these important factors can be evaluated.
Operation and Maintenance Analysis
You may consider that the operation and or maintenance of your plant (a valuable balance sheet asset) is below par.
This can manifest itself in a number of ways. The plant may have some persistent operating problem or not be delivering the effluent quality required. It may simply be that there is no knowledge of plant operation and maintenance.
Epco's experience can be employed to assess the operating and maintenance of your equipment, the level of capability of your plant operator, recommend and document improvements or changes needed and implement these system variations if required. The historic industry knowledge within our company means that we are able to provide operating and maintenance manuals and training, even if the plant is not an EPCO Australia installation.
Equipment Assessment and Advice
EPCO Australia offers clients the opportunity to appraise the cost benefit of upgrading their old equipment or replacing it with a new unit.
Plant upgrades are available for most kinds of sewage treatment equipment from any manufacturer including EPCO Australia. There is no charge from us to provide you with a quotation, providing all necessary information is readily available to us.
We list below a small sample of upgrades from previous clients for your perusal. Where possible we will put you in touch with a previous refurbishment client to enable you to obtain a first hand opinion of the quality of the EPCO Australia service.
