Both Models are designed to inhibit flame propagation in gas piping systems and to protect digesters containing flammable gases. Groth flame arresters protect from externally caused sources of heat and ignition.

This provides increased fire protection and safety. Model 7628 (horizontal) is specifically designed to prevent liquid accumulation in the flame bank assembly.
