Screening

Applications - Screening

Screening equipment is needed in the wastewater treatment process to remove gross solids from the liquid stream. The gross solids in a raw wastewater stream have no useful role in the biological treatment process.

The incremental improvements in screening technology have enabled the current crop of sophisticated biological processes to be utilised for the benefit of the environment.

Higher levels of screening technology have introduced the matters of odour control, screenings handling and the related health and safety issues involved.

To be able to make an equipment recommendation best suited to your site's requirements, we need the following data:

  • Source of wastewater
  • Raw wastewater flow rate
  • Treatment processes  being employed
  • The intended method of screenings disposal.
